Transition is so about daring to dream of a better future- one where everyone can enjoy "clean air, sunshine, beauty rediscovering each other, community and celebration." (Transition Companion p39)
"If we don't change the direction we are headed, we will end up where we are going" is a classic quote. So imagining something better is the first step on the journey there.
Its an absolute gift that this board is here. Its so easy to strike up a conversation with "here's a piece of chalk - what do you think?" I've had quite a few lovely conversations with other members of the community of all ages.
It also works in very nicely with the 'ReVisioning Newport' session at the Folk Festival on Saturday July 7th at 12pm.
How lucky are we?
